grilled pb & j with cinnamon honey butter

Creamy, crunchy peanut butter and sweet jam are a no-fail combination. Throw this grilled pb & j in the oven and slather on some honey butter for a fast, simple, and slightly grown-up version of the classic.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick butter softened
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 8 slices bread
  • peanut butter crunchy or creamy, to taste
  • jam strawberry or raspberry, to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 450F. In a small bowl, mix the butter, honey, and cinnamon until fully combined.
  2. Spread one side of two slices of bread generously with the butter. On the non-buttered side of one slice, spread peanut butter. On the non-buttered side of the other, spread jam. Place the two slices together, buttered sides out. Place on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake sandwich for five minutes, then flip and bake for another 4-5 minutes. Drizzle with more butter and jam, or maple syrup. Serve immediately.
